>>13985165Can we have some RealTalk, here, as a sidebar to all the (obvious) godfag trolling? Please? Just you and I?
Once Upon A Time, I was a Godfag, mmkay? I was young, and being young, I was impressionable, and *dumb*. I worked through the Born Again Christian thing (which fell apart, because once I left Summercamp, I had zero support, good thing that though!) and Mormonism (hey, give me a break, there was a hot blonde at 3am involved in that, and I was 18, okay???). But as soon as I realized that it all came down to some mortal human telling me "do as I say, without question!", it was ALL OVER. Too many contradictions. Too many holes in the logic. Way too much 'bevlieve me, bro!' moments.
I, too, would have a change of heart if 'God' or any 'god' presented themselves before me -- except I'd still expect them to prove themselves (vis-a-vis, the ST:TNG episode where the fake-ass 'god' 'Ardra' presented herself; was all a scam).
Let's face it: none of it makes any sense whatsoever, unless you switch off your higher brain functions, something I'm not willing to do anymore. I'd rather have the pain of uncertainty than hand the reins of my life over to some mere mortal asshole who just wants to control me with "GOD spoke to me!".
So I trust (not BELIEVE, but TRUST) in science. 'God(s)' can come apply to me for validation as they will; so far, ZERO have come forward. What does that tell you?
