Why do people still buy into the idea that you need hot water + soap to clean stuff?
Do they not know what soap does?

Warm water evaporates quicker than cold water. That way I don't need to wait as long until I can put the dishes back in the cupboard.

Hot water softens/melts grease and fat off and helps to sterilize the surface as well. Just because you can get a good finish with cold water doesn't mean you should use cold water.

You don't technically need soap either. If you have enough patience you can scrub everything clean with nothing but cold water. Just like soap speeds up cleaning, using hot water speeds it up even more.
