Why can't we just redesign the planet completely so that pollution and other issues are fixed by automated systems?
Why trust nature? We can always keep whatever we want to preserve in captivity, and something like a plastic-eating plant sounds quite feasible considering plastic itself is just a from of hydrogen and carbon, just like all living things
