>>13967467When I say fake, I mean it is fake in the sense that it is not rigorously mathematic. Most of the proofs in calculus courses taught in American schools are not sufficiently rigorous mathematically. The difficulty of these courses come from the complexity in the calculations. There is no abstract mathematical thinking, it's mostly just following an algorithm to get a numeric answer.
Real math focuses more on the abstract relation between abstract mathematical concepts, following rigorously defined logic.
I'm talking topics like abstract algebra, real analysis, number theory, axiomatic set theory, mathematical logic, topology, etc.
Basically if your class is mostly about computing numbers, it's not real math.
