I am looking for a place online that specializes in discussing code, specifically code used for applied mathematics.

Where's it at? Discord? Are there any specialized online communities for computational mathematics?

you might want to look at applied math journals for the theory and modeling:

And for the practice you would want to look at computational biology/chemistry/physics journals or papers. some of these will be included as part of broader journals on subjects like condensed matter physics, statistical physics, biophysics, analytical chemistry, systems biology, theoretical biology, mathematical biology etc. It's kind of hard to find a dedicated group of computational scientists or numerical computing researchers as they're usually just applied mathematicians or people with a CS background who got into scientific fields.
