It's because Malaysians are dumb as dogshit and anyone with half a brain from there leaves as soon as they can.
It's a backwards country that has racial quotas for university and public service, this leads to ultradumb cunts running everything and bringing in taliban-lite laws like separating men and women in cinemas.
The Singapore/Malaysia border is likely the biggest IQ differential on the planet. Literally 25 points difference 5km away from each other

I'm sure there are hoards of people on 4chan who would absolutely love Mahathir Mohamad, if they had any idea he existed, of course. Again, the same people would also hate him for being of a different race than themselves, so who knows.

And yes, Malaysia is definitely not an ideal country. A lot of the mathematicians and scientists would work at the universities in Singapore, though, I imagine.

They get cheaper housing, guaranteed scholarship (Malays and indigenous people get 98% admissions to public universities), easier loans and much more. The Chinese and indians would end up working and studying hard and migrate to Singapore, Australia, UK Or the US. Hence the reason why you don't see any new innovations from Malaysia.
