>>13952178i don't think you can design a consciousness, just maybe the infrastructure to host/receive it. you can handicap and null it by limiting that infrastructure but you all you're doing is lowering the options for that consciousness to express itself. sure you can do that to a point where you can make it only able to do a few set of things. like closing doors on it so its forced to go into the one door you left open, but it'd still be conscious, as without that consciousness it would not be able to decide to open that single door without you "programming" it to do so. at that point why even make a consciousness? just program a complex machine to do what you want and stop calling it ai. as for the term human, thats a vague term. different people have different intellectual capabilities, meaning some have more doors and some have less by nature. also of interest, there is a drug that is like a white powder, if you blow it into someones face, for the next day or two they will do whatever you tell them without any resistance, and not remember anything after it wears off. it's used in south america usually for sex or even to get people to murder people for you.
