Learning STEM/CS/Math at my own pace at 32 was much easier than when I tried at 22.

Is there any reason why boring topics become more interesting as you age?

Many great mathematicians never started making contributions until they were 26+. For mathematics theres sort of this sweet spot where you're only good at it between the ages of 25 and 40
