I have used very heavy duty psychedelic drugs at least 100 times. Some combinations, including LSD with DMT, ketamine with LSD and DMT, Salvia, and various mushroom analogues.
I can describe each experience in a way that is very easy to understand.
Some of the effects most noteworthy of study and discussion are the effects on time, spatial dimensions, and "ego death"... Salvia Divinorum in particular (kappa opioid agonist, active ingredient Salvinorin-A) completely shuts down the brain's ability to perceive depth... In a Salvia trip, I found it not possible at all to see in 3D, instead the entire visual field became perfectly flat, I could not even discern where one object ended and another began as they formed one giant 2D shape. The brain continued to try hard to discern the image, but was unable, which resulted in a neverending repeating loop. The body's reaction was to laugh psychotically. Laughter was entirely uncontrollable and so loud as to be screaming.
Time distortion is not an effect I encountered very often, but when I did, rather than slow down as is usually reported, time seemed to speed up. Very similar to pressing a fast forward button on a tape, the audio shifted up in pitch also. There was a brief timelessness experience. This experience was not of unchanging moments. Rather, timelessness was a sense of being in a single present moment which transformed without the moment itself changing. It is a subtle difference in perception with very strong psychological effects, mimicking eternity.
I will continue on ego death. Ask about any effects on the mind or any particular experience with a given compound as I can repeat it precisely.
