no. not QM.. QM is the characterization of the frequency of outcomes of a physical process assumed to be random. which is statistics

Physics is a description of a physical processes in terms of physical quantities.

its a nuanced point few can understand, but makes all the difference.

let me give you an example. imagine a coin is tossed. a physical (physics) solution would be describing the friction of the hand on the coin in terms of a force in newtons. it would model the resulting linear and angular velocity after it leaves in hand in terms of Hz and m/s. physicist would then apply the law of gravity and drag to describe the rate of deceleration of the coin from gravity, and the deceleration of angular velocity in terms of m/s^2 and Hz^2.

a statistical approach would be noticing it will land either heads up or down realizing it difficult to predict and simply saying half the time expect heads up and half the time expect the outcome to be heads down. this is what QM is:statistics.

I think a merge of all perspectives humanity has acquired is the key.

The statistical part is mostly to cover that there are lots of variables we do not or cannot know. A particle clearly cannot be in two places at once, and massive particles cannot behave as waves, but modeling things as such makes our standard model "pretty close" to how things really are without requiring fundamentally new physics. We have too much invested now to start over. It's like dark matter/energy in astronomy.

I have a masters in science, how about you? I studied QM at the graduate level already. It's statistics and the mystery involved with it is when someone tries to cast a statistic into a physical process.
