>>13950318Well OP, I got dosed with Haloperidol about a year ago, and have made some progress. I'll share what I know.
Many effects are long lasting for two reasons. First is that the drug binds with the receptors in a pseudo-permanent way. This takes a long time for them to either unbind through kinetics or for your body to replace them.
Second is actual structural changes in the brain. MRI's show changes volume of brain regions, though this too seems to recover. I think the longer you are on them the more difficult it is for them to be reveresed.
So far in the last year things I've done:
Psychedelic mushrooms- I would caution this. I absolutely do no regret doing this, it cured my akithisia, tremendously broke me out of the mental restraint brain fog, and helped me achieve erections for a solid week after. It came with some downsides though, but I feel this was mostly related to initiating a deeper healing and being given some greater awareness. I also needed this experience to regain some hope. In the hours following the trip I felt somewhat back to myself again, so I felt it was possible. The major reason I chose this was because they have been shown to increase neurogenesis. I felt a significant improvement around my pituitary-hypothalamus region, which is the most effected by dopamine antagonists.
Lion's mane mushroom-No caution here, it's great. Similar improvements with less downsides.
Finally is time/proper nutrition/exercise. Zinc and omega-3's are important.
