I failed calculus. I made a few basic calculational mistakes on my final and forgot a relevant geometric formula so I couldn’t complete the optimization problem. I have the concepts down but I always fuck up when it’s time to execute.

Sorry to hear that anon. Are you not graded with "error carried forward" where if you make a small calculation error and the rest or your answer is sound, you get at least partial credit?

I am but you only get credit for one out of the five points that you can get from the problem. My teacher is known for being pretty strict about calculation since she believes it is a reflection of your ability to properly apply the concept.

Lol, there is always time to read it through. If you really do have the concepts down, there should be plenty of time to re-read your work and check for errors.

In fact you should check for errors before you go on to the next question

I passed calc in high school but like a dipshit I dropped the dual credit portion because I was nervous about the grading scheme compared to the regular enrollment. Then I flunked it twice in college because I never did anything. Don't be an underachiever.
