Hey, I teach biology at Ohio University. More and more of my university's money is moving toward diversity and inclusion. I may have to quit. The university now has 134 diversity officers, almost 10% of the staff (pic related). Profs are getting pay cuts to fund the growth of this diversity sector and the growth isn't stopping. If anything, it's accelerating. What is going on here? Are the science departments of universities fucked? We'll they keep getting gutted to fund the ever-growing diversity sector? The university wants to double its D&I staff by 2025. It's like a monster movie where the creature keeps growing.
