Breasts are not advantageous for animals that climb trees or walk on all fours. Having anything dangling under your body is asking to be damaged (hence mostly internal/shafted male genitals). Even if you're bipedal on the ground, if you climb trees a lot, your test will be in close contact with the trunk, plus you'd have to deal with the inertia of your tits fucking with your climbing and swinging abilities. The only way breasts form is if they don't get in the way of anything.
Combined with their visual presentation, sex signaling, and offspring rearing benefits, I can absolutely see how big tits came to be.
