I am 20 and my hairline is receding so fast at the moment I am coping with a fade but I know it won’t suffise a year from now.

I can’t my head shape is utterly fucked beyond saving and I have fluctuating asymmetry which my hair is helping hiding
do you think it’s worth to take finasteride I am hearing a lot of stories especially form the post finasteride syndrome association.
I don’t mind the lower libido I am more concerned about the cognitive side effects especially My brain is still developing
thoughts?Any experience?

Also, do 10 mins of head massage every day in the morning and evening to break up scalp calcification, you can actually feel the scalp getting stiffer with dht, loosen it up.
To reduce dht, try taking reishi and lions mane mushroom, as well as green tea and ashwagandha has been shown to reduce male hair loss because it lowers cortisol and raises tesosterone. That's another thing, often times high dht is because of low testosterone because it is more potent to the androgen receptors so your body converts more testosterone into dht if you don't have adequate levels, so paradoxically, raising testosterone actually improves hair loss most of the time. Also obviously try reducing stress, try meditation, exercise every day.
Also, a HUGE thing is dermarolling/microneedling, it's actually incredible, you can regrow like a centimeter of hairline in like 2 weeks, not kidding. It works mainly by increasing blood flow through inflammation and stimulating collagen.

Studies show that scalp massage increases hair thickness and a time limit where it stops being effective has not been found, theoretically, you could massage your head for 10 hours a day and the effectivesness would increase proportionally
