Rich countries can just get solar, wind, nuclear energy, electric cars, in-house farming, desalination plants. No poor country will be able to afford it so they'll suffer mass death while rich countries survive.
If your country doesn't manage to hit 40k GDP per Capita or doesn't have favorable geography in the next 20 years it's gonna get permanently destroyed.
