Lets be fucking honest.
Nile DeGrasee is the god king of "I met Carl Sagan" type of professor.
You know, the kind whose career consists in pretending they are touched by the universe faking having a great calling being all whimsical and shit mostly to try to sleep with their students while everyone in campus or lab is just so in awe that they never look behind the curtains to see they are promoting these guys based on charisma rather than merit.
I did read Carl Sagan and it was a pretty good writing style even if he takes for granted that you know he is a celebrity. And while the man has a lot of merits like popularizing Nuclear winter and Atmospheric death he was also kinda exploitative in his attempt to make SETI and LDS with Dolphins work to keep reaping income from "scientifically valid" freak shows. Carl Sagan was in for the money and faded from the public when he realized he was fucked with marrow cancer. The end
But at least he did kinda Breakthru work with NASA and found a nice narrative style to make people enjoy science endeavors that everyone else was too fucking cuck to describe to the public.
Will I find something of value in Nile books or is he just the whimsy shit he throws as a guest star at shit shows and quote back old science stuff and numbers that mean shit to me that I already heard before at Nova.
