>>13934945Maybe they had more resources back in the day related to plants so they could sustain their huge sizes more easily while also having a good reason for being so big. So more plant population = more competition meaning being bigger is better to capture sunlight. Bigger plant sizes means longer necks to gather resources. Predators got bigger because things they eat are bigger and since there are more resources so its worth the resource cost.
I guarantee if you needed food back then it was super easy there was food all around you from plants and smaller animals you could easily snatch up and eat.
