>>13934526>Does anybody else think in plural first person? I do it all the time. Is it a vestige of the bicameral mind, or some schizoid tendencies? When someone else talks to you like that, it's usually from a position of authority; they expect you to follow their lead, but in order to seem more supportive and less imposing, they talk like you're in it together. My guess is that you mainly talk to yourself like that when there's something you know you have to do, but you don't want to, or when there's something you accept on an intellectual level, but feel unsure about. There is a disconnect between your rational persona and your unconscious self.
>How do you think when you talk to yourself, anon?I refer to myself as either "I" or "you". "You" is usually for critical self-reflection or when I'm trying to force something.
