Also, in regard to the absolutely correct statement about the plane, this is why if I'm travelling 100mph in my car, throw a baseball 10 mph forward, then any observers standing outside of the car will see the baseball go from 100mph within the car to 10mph *instantaneously* once it leaves my hand.
Lastly, the obviously true balloon statement is held up by the fact that if I'm holding a balloon and wind begins blowing at 10mph, and it begins flowing in front of me, if I start to run at 10mph in that direction, the balloon will absolutely 100% now be travelling 20mph, still flowing in front of me at the 10mph relative to my speed. Gosh, what don't globetards understand?
