Depending on how your society is, certain names will sound attractive/ugly/etc. Sometimes, "instinctive" ugliness of a name which you've never really paid attention to, are more of a deeper level association. From an American perspective, the possibility is liked to the "foreignness" and the "russianness" of the word itself. Russia has been the big evil/bad/evil for decades and still is. Foreigners have always been looked down upon as well in just about any society. So the combination is probably what we are "feeling" with the ugliness of the name "Olga"
