Both have solutions, Tu has more solutions and covers more topics at the level of a mathematics major while Woodward has few solutions but is more for Scientists so it's easier, also Woodward says the prerequisites are exactly linear algebra and multivariable calculus, I would buy both if I were you and teach from the one the student feels more comfortable.
