Can you manually program movements to be synchronized with other movement to appear as dance? sure, but can you do anything remotely close to what we humans can do with a humanoid robot? No.
You generally analyze problems and then come up with the robot design after. Meaning that you come up with a list of requirements for a solution mechanism to the problem. Personally I have never experienced any problem that would benefit from a humanoid design, use a robot arm and wheels instead.
