>>13920719>the efficiency of flu vaccines have been <40%Not sure how accurate the 40% meme is, but everyone knew that the flu vaccines had a chance to not work. The reason they don't work is because there's never just a single 'flu', there's always a concoction of flus, pharmacologists just pick which one they predict will be the most prevalent. It's not that the vaccine only works 40% of the time, it's that only 40% of the cases apply to that specific vaccine, so really it works close to 100% of the time.
With covid, no one is acknowledging that the vaccine doesn't actually prevent you from catching and retransmitting; you could retransmit to someone who is medically unfit to receive the vaccine. If you don't have the vaccine, you know you're sick, so you're more likely to stay home. If you have the vaccine, you don't know you're contagious. Either way, the unvaccinated will "die" (not true, by the way), regardless of your precious "herd immunity". But hey, logic was always more of a mathematicians realm, not a biochemist's.
