Is there any possibility there's more to mirrors than meets the eye? I tried kissing myself once in the mirror and I was only able to do it on my lips.

Think about it. We already know a mirror reflects photons, yet the image that appears is behind the mirror. Even if the mirror is against a wall, the image still appears behind the mirror. It's like as if the image is able to pass through the wall.

Is it possible that what we see in the mirror is actually a parallel universe?
