I know a smart guy in Cambridge, MA who was writing a white paper about quantum computing for an important group. He told me QCs are bullshit and will never work because they’re based on an incomplete theory of quantum mechanics that probably isn’t right. Meanwhile billions of dollars is being poured into research as if there’s this clear end-goal in sight. What the fuck is going on? How can this be?
