If you find the recommendations from the CDC, Pfizer etc on injection technique for these vaccines you will realize their rationale is that intravenous injection is rare, so therefore, they cannot be bothered.

I live in Florida, I'm in the safest place as far as mandates go. But healthcare workers are in a different boat than general population regarding vaccines. Right now my hospital put a hold on the mandate because the Louisiana judge that blocked the Medicare mandate. And my hospital so far is pretty based regarding declinations. One of the hospitals in the company had over 900 declinations for the vaccine. Imagine if that many people quit from that one hospital. They can't afford to mandate it and they know it. We already have travel nurses, making $150 an hour to work for us because we're so understaffed. And as far as walking away, I have a 5 month old baby and I'm the bread winner. Not really an option for me.

China doesn't have the only inactivated vaccine, and several more countries are using protein sub-unit vaccines. It's very odd that the West has been dragging its feet over offering anything besides a viral vector or mRNA vaccine.
