its not cheaper because no one is funding new designs or innovation in that field. solar gets funding out the ass. if we leaned into nuclear our energy problems would be trivial.

Energy is so cheap you can still afford to reject many sources for ideological reasons. In the long term economics will slap some us some common sense if we make the wrong decisions. So dont overthink it, any energy source will somewhat work out and you can fix future issues

This, whenever you compare solar/wind to sth else, you have to count in the massive energy storage and adapting the power grid. Solar is great for off-grid.

A nuclear facility produces Energy, a solar panel factory doesnt.

You'd have to compare a Solar panel field with a nuclear power plant.

I'm pretty sure a nuclear power plant needs a shitton of factories, mines etc....
