I have NAC left over from a mild head injury recovery stack. I understand its used for people with asthma and COPD, so that is often brought up.

I need Vit D if for no other reason than I have 4 hours of light a day this time of year.... :(

I feel like hot showers with eucalyptus might help.

Oh, and eat a couple crushed cloves of garlic raw every day.

It infects the upper respiratory tract. NAC improves immunity in the respiratory tract. It also protects the lungs, and it can protect the endothelium if the virus reaches the blood stream. It also has binding potential against the spike protein. Efficacy against other respiratory infections plus in vitro efficacy directly against SARS-CoV-2 plus being quite safe at reasonable doses makes it a smart option imo.

First of all, oral NAC won't do shit for your lungs, you would have to take it through a nebulizer. Secondly, NAC would more likely bind to the mucin in your lungs than the spike, and the mucin in your lungs can also bind to the spike to trap it. If anything, NAC would weaken your mucus' ability to sequester COVID. Go read a book.

N-acetylcysteine (NAC), an analogue and precursor of reduced glutathione, has been in clinical use for more than 30 yrs as a mucolytic drug. It has also been proposed for and/or used in the therapy and/or prevention of several respiratory diseases and of diseases involving an oxidative stress, in general. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effect of long-term treatment with NAC on influenza and influenza-like episodes. A total of 262 subjects of both sexes (78% > or = 65 yrs, and 62% suffering from nonrespiratory chronic degenerative diseases) were enrolled in a randomized, double-blind trial involving 20 Italian Centres. They were randomized to receive either placebo or NAC tablets (600 mg) twice daily for 6 months. Patients suffering from chronic respiratory diseases were not eligible, to avoid possible confounding by an effect of NAC on respiratory symptoms. NAC treatment was well tolerated and resulted in a significant decrease in the frequency of influenza-like episodes, severity, and length of time confined to bed. Both local and systemic symptoms were sharply and significantly reduced in the NAC group. Frequency of seroconversion towards A/H1N1 Singapore 6/86 influenza virus was similar in the two groups, but only 25% of virus-infected subjects under NAC treatment developed a symptomatic form, versus 79% in the placebo group. Evaluation of cell-mediated immunity showed a progressive, significant shift from anergy to normoergy following NAC treatment. Administration of N-acetylcysteine during the winter, thus, appears to provide a significant attenuation of influenza and influenza-like episodes, especially in elderly high-risk individuals. N-acetylcysteine did not prevent A/H1N1 virus influenza infection but significantly reduced the incidence of clinically apparent disease.

The antioxidant N-acetyl-l-cysteine (NAC) had been shown to inhibit replication of seasonal human influenza A viruses. Here, the effects of NAC on virus replication, virus-induced pro-inflammatory responses and virus-induced apoptosis were investigated in H5N1-infected lung epithelial (A549) cells. NAC at concentrations ranging from 5 to 15 mM reduced H5N1-induced cytopathogenic effects (CPEs), virus-induced apoptosis and infectious viral yields 24 h post-infection. NAC also decreased the production of pro-inflammatory molecules (CXCL8, CXCL10, CCL5 and interleukin-6 (IL-6)) in H5N1-infected A549 cells and reduced monocyte migration towards supernatants of H5N1-infected A549 cells. The antiviral and anti-inflammatory mechanisms of NAC included inhibition of activation of oxidant sensitive pathways including transcription factor NF-?B and mitogen activated protein kinase p38. Pharmacological inhibitors of NF-?B (BAY 11-7085) or p38 (SB203580) exerted similar effects like those determined for NAC in H5N1-infected cells. The combination of BAY 11-7085 and SB203580 resulted in increased inhibitory effects on virus replication and production of pro-inflammatory molecules relative to either single treatment. NAC inhibits H5N1 replication and H5N1-induced production of pro-inflammatory molecules. Therefore, antioxidants like NAC represent a potential additional treatment option that could be considered in the case of an influenza A virus pandemic.

NAC, creatine, B multi, and magnesium glycinate. I also try to follow the 4 pillars from the book Deep Nutrition.
Ie. Meat on the bone, organs when possible, sprouted and fermented food, and raw veg/fruit.
I played a lot of football when young, and had a couple moderate shake ups in car accidents.
I think it helped. The headaches are better. I'm an electrical engineer, and besides focus issues I can still do complex tasks well.
Honestly, one of the best things was learning neck muscles massaging. There is a lot of tension heald there that causes head aches.

Background: N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC) has been previously shown to exert beneficial effects in diverse respiratory diseases, through antioxidant and anti-inflammatory actions. Our aim was to evaluate NAC potential impact in hospitalised patients with COVID-19 pneumonia, in terms of progression to severe respiratory failure (SRF) and mortality.

Patients and methods: This retrospective, two-centre cohort study included consecutive patients hospitalised with moderate or severe COVID-19 pneumonia. Patients who received standard of care were compared with patients who additionally received NAC 600 mg bid orally for 14 days. Patients' clinical course was recorded regarding (i) the development of SRF (PO2/FiO2 <150) requiring mechanical ventilation support and (ii) mortality at 14 and 28 days.

Results: A total of 82 patients were included, 42 in the NAC group and 40 in the control group. Treatment with oral NAC led to significantly lower rates of progression to SRF as compared to the control group (p < .01). Patients in the NAC group presented significantly lower 14- and 28-day mortality as compared to controls (p < .001 and p < .01 respectively). NAC treatment significantly reduced 14- and 28-day mortality in patients with severe disease (p < .001, respectively). NAC improved over time the PO2/FiO2 ratio and decreased the white blood cell, CRP, D-dimers and LDH levels. In the multivariable logistic regression analysis, non-severe illness and NAC administration were independent predictors of 28-days survival.

Conclusion: Oral NAC administration (1200 mg/d) in patients with COVID-19 pneumonia reduces the risk for mechanical ventilation and mortality. Our findings need to be confirmed by properly designed prospective clinical trials.

Aims and objectives: To evaluate the efficacy of NAC in the complex treatment of COVID-associated pneumonia.

Methods: In this open-label study 46 patients with COVID-associated moderately severe pneumonia (age was 57,9±12,73 years, disease duration before admission 7,3±1,64 days, body temperature at admission 37,5±0,43 C, lung damage on quantitative chest CT 44±6,46%, oxygenation index (SpO2/FiO2) – 253±19),were randomized into 2 groups: Group 1 (n=22) received standard treatment for COVID-19; Group 2 (n=24) in addition received NAC 1200-1500 mg/day intravenously. Clinical laboratory examination and chest CT scan were performed on the 1st and 10th days of observation.

Results: After the treatment we observed significantly higher increase in blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and SpO2/FiO2 in NAC group compared to control group: 97(96;98)% vs. 96(96;97)% (p=0,02) and 459 (399;476) vs. 401(331;451) (p=0,03), respectively. The delta of growth in SpO2/FiO2 was significantly higher in NAC group: 175±54,3 & 144±54,4 (p=0,02). The delta of receding percent of lung damage in CT scan was 14±3,94% in NAC group vs. 6,9±2,56% in the control group (p<0,001). We observed a steeper decrease of C-reactive protein levels in NAC group over 10 days of treatment: 90±10,2% vs. 82±13,9% (p=0,03). The addition of NAC to standard therapy was associated with reduced duration of hospital stay (p<0,001).

Conclusions: The findings of the study demonstrate the effectiveness of including NAC in the complex treatment of COVID-associated pneumonia of medium severity.

This is *exactly* my stack (plus nicotine and THC I guess). Make sure your NAC has selenium + molybdenum added. Also if you can find it, creatine HCl is far better than monohydrate in terms of oral bioavailability.

I just take vitamin d, zinc and vitamin c. Sometimes I take vitamin c the same way as I do the other vitamins but mostly I buy lemons and oranges and make juice out of them. Besides that I try to be active and work out when I can spare the time or do a fast bodyweight workout in the morning after waking up.
I also took the sinopharm vax 2 months ago.

I eat healthy and quality food already. Everything home made.
I'm only taking vitamin d and zinc as supplements mostly during 3 out of 4 seasons of the year. During summer I'm outside most of the time under the sun.

Take multivitamin with D. Anything else will have negative side effects in the long run; NAC, oils, anti inflammatory, antioxidants. You have to cycle supplements, use them only when at risk or confirmed infection. If you don’t you start to suffer negative side effects. Fish / oil made me drop too much weight and I’m going off them. NAC will give negative side effects if used daily. You can overdose on vitamin C. If you combine shit you start to get headaches and high blood pressure etc. Everyone is different. Multivitamin though is pretty solid.
