Don't normally post on this board but I had an idea in the back of my head and was wondering if anyone had any ideas about it
I would like to see if its possible to solve fighting games, like someone would attempt to solve chess or checkers
Ideally, we'd work up to Street Fighter, but something like Divekick or Fantasy Strike would probably be the way to go for an initial concept.
All start with a basic non-formal premise. In Divedick we have three variables, Dive, Kick and Time for each player, which can be used to chart the X and Y positions as well as hitboxes on a 2D plane. The would be providing or finding super states ala Conway to derive something a little more conhesive than a simple brute force algorithmn, any ideas?
