I don't know about the US but in Europe there's a concerted effort by lawmakers to keep Vitamins and Supplements useless - mainly by adjusting the daily dosage to a level so low that they basically become homeopathic (no measurable effect). I suspect two main reasons:
>A. Legal: Overdosing supplements can have adverse effects. If supplements were potent, producers would potentially be susbject to litigation, while govts are responsible for providing medical care to people who suffered (due to socialized healthcare). Therefore lawmakers and producers simply agreed to make supplements useless.B. Control: Governments are inherently wary of individual decision making and bodily autonomy because (especially in Europe) they derive their power from the people's dependence on their services (health care, benefits etc.). Therefore, sel-treatment is discouraged or intentionally sabotaged.
In the end, you can make supplements work, but you need to do a lot of research and be diligent in how you administer them to prevent adverse effects. To 90%+ of the population that's a prohibitive barrier. If you buy Supplements/Vitamins in Europe and take them according to the information provided with the package, you might as well eat candies kek
Just look at pic related, I need to buy a dozen packages and violate the instructions for each one to replicate this regimen.
