>>13907242Waste of time. Far better to create human-AI hybrids. We need to round up orphans off the streets of 3rd world countries. Get them hooked on powerfully addictive drugs ( if they already aren't junkies, lol ) and insert tubes into every orifice. The tubes deliver nutrients and remove wastes. Right, so then we start inserting a fine network of micro wires into their brains, connect them up to a computer, and hope something happens. Sure, most of these attempts will be failures, but everyday the corpses will be removed and a fresh batch of streets orphan can be brought in to replace them.
Eventually, through the power of the "infinite monkey theorem" we will eventually have a success. The orphan will connect to the computer in a meaningful way and we will have achieved the first mind-machine interface. Chairman Yang would be proud.
From that point its simply a matter of replication, although its likely by that time we will need to begin artificially breeding street orphans since their numbers will have been catastrophically diminished by our activities up until this point.
Now, this is where it will get interesting. Now we begin to engineer a computer virus which infect the human brain. The virus directs the cell biology to replace the human tissue in the brain with silica and transmitters. The nutrient tubes deliver all the needed material in a molecular form, the body simply resembles this as programmed in the virus. Eventually the rest of the body is discarded and we are left with an electronic brain which is augmented by a computer. From that point it is just a matter of reformatting it and uploading whatever we want it to do.
