Cotton fibers are specialized trichomes, cucumbers are covered in trichomes, pot is covered in trichomes, most plants have trichomes to some extent, We could just as easily say the cucumbers, cotton, or pot is carcinogenic for the same reasons. Statistical evidence is all we have to show, no experimental evidence is out there. Ex post facto doesn't fly in undergrad studies, why should we let professionals get away with it?
