>>13902644>How do I deal with itConsider that on the whole ever human being who has ever existed is fundamentally retarded compared to the humans who will come after us assuming that we ever get genetic engineering and other trans-humanist technologies off the ground.
Regardless of this, you're still human and sound of mind. Furthermore despite the fact that you may have a below average intelligence level on the whole, you likely have intellectual talents that are still rare amongst your peers, and that says absolutely nothing about your attitudes and mindsets and your ability to do work.
I won't sugar coat it for you, things will likely be more difficult for you than they are for many your peers, especially if you choose to peruse intellectual pursuits. Certain problems might be less clear and more frustrating, and the answers for those problems will seem more distant to you than to others of a higher intelligence level. Relatively speaking, however, these are things that for the most part are not insurmountable if you put in the time and effort to understand things on a deep fundamental level.
The major difference isn't going to be in your ability to understand things, there are very few concepts that are stiffly bound away from idiots and dimwits. The real diffidence is going to be that it will simply take longer for you to gain intellectual mastery over different subjects. That is to say, for most things you are likely to be able to still "get it" but it's simply going to take longer. So long as you don't rush it, you'll get there.
In any case, so long as you apply yourself and do the best you can every day then you can live a fulfilling life as a contributing member of society and do great things at the very least on the personal level. If nothing else that will put you head and shoulders above the average genius IQ individual who does not apply themselves in most pursuits, and you will be remembered as a great man despite your intellectual shortcomings.
