Is the age of individual geniuses over? I feel that the stuff that we have yet to disover is so complex that a single person, no matter how smart, just wont be enough.

no, the tools they have access to now allows them to write themselves into obfuscation rather than getting stuck and having to solve significant things. also I imagine a lot of 'geniuses' have simply stopped publishing cause it's not worth it.

Yes. Anyone saying otherwise is just coping. There are still smart people but science and mathematics has stagnated. It is no longer worth it to be a scientist or mathematician. Again, anyone insisting this is not true is truly coping and they just think they “will make it”. They won’t.
