these magic fields called electric and magnetic fields, they are somehow both the same thing and completely different. desu I think nobody spends time trying to explain how EMFs because the government doesn't want us to. Just look at magnets, somehow they're a standing wave of force, but because of electricity? It doesn't make sense.

its really not that mysterious. its a composition of the electric and magnetic force. get a magnet and iron or two magnets. they observe they push and pull eachother. rub your arm on dry wool. your hair will stand up. all these effects are governed by maxwells equations, the most fundamental theory in the universe. Maxwell went a step further and showed a plane transverse wave was also a valid solution to his equations. so light is an emergent property of EM.

no it doesnt, unless its a pressure wave (longitudinal)
but EM waves are transversal, they do not need a medium to propagate
they can even propagate in vacuum, light speed is light speed in vacuum and (visible) light is a EM wave of a certain frequency range
