Germanon material scientist here. I am close to the end of my bachelor and getting ready for my masters.
Now the question: should dive into semiconductors or batteries? I have experience with both fields (internships, student assistent jobs in research & industry) and find both very interesting.
The problem is the job situation. If I went into metals I would have no worries here regarding any job but both batteries & semiconductors are weak in Germany/Europe and mostly prominent in Asia and partially the US. What should I do?
