I am thinking about the Celestron Firstscope IYA 76, do you think it is a good telescope for beginners?
Do you think it's a better than a lens telescopes in this price range?
And is it possible to observe most Meisser objects with it?
And Is it better to get a viewfinder or a laser?

If you are a beginner you should start small. Get a microscope, then progress to normal sight. Then once you have mastered the basics you can progress to telescopes.

no you can't. i've blasted the secondary mirror of an 0.7m f/12 cassegrain system with concentrated sunlight for hours on end without causing any harm to the optics at all.

Oh, my Celestron 130SLT manual specifically warns the user not to do this so I assumed it was true

is that a closed tube design?
i could see a high f ratio maksutov maybe getting into trouble if the secondary spot wasn't clean. normally light bounces off optics without losing energy, theres no loss of momentum for reflected photons, if they aren't losing energy they can't transfer energy to heat up anything. of course they don't all bounce off the mirror perfectly.

"If you have a Schmidt-Cassegrain, a Newtonian or a Maksutov, for instance, forget solar projection. These telescopes have a secondary mirror and the heat generated can damage it. Also, they generally have a larger aperture than refractors, which means they collect and focus more light[...] Another thing you need to worry about is the eyepiece. Since it’s located at the end of the tube where all the light from the Sun will be focused, it will be exposed to extreme temperatures. If you use an eyepiece constructed from multiple lenses that are cemented together, the heat can damage the cement. Finally, when the Sun moves inside the field of view, some non-optical parts of the telescope may end up in the path of the light. Anything nonmetallic will melt."
