Some people have shitty families. I used to have a pretty shitty family myself so I get it. Ended up fixing my parents' marriage which fixed most of the stresses though so I've stopped brooding and waiting for them to die.

I kind of fell into it. I'm a bit fucked in the head and my mom broke down one week. Despite how much I disliked her it fucked me up seeing someone like that so I ended up shouting at my dad to stop being a doormat when it comes to things like my sociopathic sister treating them both like shit and go comfort her. After that it was a slow series of interjecting into incidents and pushing both of them.

I tried to get my dad to exercise in his 60’s. He did literally nothing. His diet was terrible and everything. He’s now 72 in a physical rehab hospital he’s finally exercising and eating proper food.
