Regarding matter, is only a specific type able to generate qualitative experience while other formats are not?
I do understand it is much the same as anything else at the microscopic level... But even taking an Idealist's theory, it is clear that altering brain matter alters experience. So in their paradigm, brain matter is what experience-causing matter LOOKS like etc. Not that it is separate from mind but that the specific form of matter appears this way.
I would think of a very crude analogy but nothing is coming to me. But obv there are things existent that are building blocks for other things. E.g. you can build an electrical circuit with many metals but not wood. Is it the same with brains and experience?
Yes we are carbon based. So are diamonds.
