You receive a subscore for each (which is reflective of your score relative to others) and then one full-scale score that places you somewhere along the aggregate statistics of scores. Its more common to have one very high score and three average scores (like 150 perceptual, 100 for the rest) than two average and two reasonably high (like 130 perceptual 130 verbal 100 for the others). In this case, the latter person would actually have a higher full-scale IQ than the former, as a wider range of high scores is more statistically exceptional than having a concentrated area of ability. I got a ~141 verbal, ~139 perceptual, and somewhere around 130 processing speed, 125 working memory. My full scale IQ is 150, higher than any of my individual subscores. That being said, I have had to try hard in virtually all my classes and attribute my success almost SOLELY to effort rather than skill
