Technology is like pandora's box, you can't get rid of it and if you do you're lowering your groups chances of making it through evolutionary filters when you come into competition with other groups that have adopted it. Kind of how anti-natalist groups disappear over time because they don't reproduce, but that's more extreme.
Not only that, but we would have to suppress our innate drive for innovation and discovery to prevent technology from being created in the future and therefore loose part of what it means to be human.
