>>13881648I'm not a physicist so I'm not familiar with such math method books, but a cursory look at Boas seems to suggest that you should probably stay away from Rudin, and frankly most graduate level math texts as they may be to "slick" for the intended purpose. As one ascends in math texts, the fewer worked examples are presented, and more interpolation is required for proofs etc. Which is probably not what you want. In addition to the ones you posted, take a look at Apostol and Anthony W. Knapp. They both give greater exposition and examples. I need some time to go through my stuff before I could recommend a PDE text, but I recall the one we used was full interesting techniques, but I can't remember the name at the moment.
