Say all 3 of these are the same object being acted upon in different ways? What are some similarities and differences in the ways they are being acted upon?

I think the triangle is pretty fundamentally different than the circle and square. Just by symmetry alone you can see that.

It's why the circle and square represent different vector norms, but the triangle represents no norm that I'm aware of. A better set of comparisons is the circle, square and rhombus.
