I almost agree because we *should* be teaching the functionality, not memorization. I don't agree because the response said there's nothing wrong with it.
The equation is showing two things 1. the formula for volume of a cylinder and 2. squaring a number. This is presumable a middle school question so this is fine to be teaching.
I'm not distancing myself, which is why I even opened myself up to criticism by saying go ahead call me retarded. Personally, I never would have written that problem down, but I do understand the thought that went into the design.
