Cross product is right handed unnatural product like and closely related to complex priduct. Thus it has no place in physics. See e.g. Navier Stokes eq. . No cross products there. Cross product can always be "killed" by taking another cross product. Thus it contains nothing.

$u, v$ two vectors of the 3d space. We defined the cross product $w = u \times v$ a the unique vector that satisfies :

for all vector $x$ of the space,
$\det [u, v, x] = w \cdot x$

Of course it has handedness. Even determinant has handedness. w is right angled to the plane which is made by vectors u and v such that it forms RIGHT handed triad (there could have been left handed too).
