>>13883290you have to consider the fact that the more vaccinated countries tend to be richer countries with better healthcare systems than the less vaccinated countries. a country like denmark has much better access to treatment, and much a much better hospital system, than a countries like bulgaria and romania. there's clearly much more to it than just the vaccines, as evidenced by the enormous jumps up and down further down the graph. for instance, slovakia having a death rate equal to belgium, despite having an enormously lower vaccination percentage, latvia and romania having a nearly equal death rate despite the significant difference in vaccination rates, and poland having a significantly lesser death rate to latvia despite having a fairly sizable decrease in vaccination rates.
this chart hints at a trend, but doesn't consider all the factors necessary to actually evaluate the impact of vaccination on death rate.
that being said, /sci/ is way too eager to jump on any study that even remotely hints at the vaccine being bad. neither side of this discussion is really approaching it rationally at all
