My teacher insists that a Taylor series is literally the same thing as a function because he says it has all of the same properties. But sometimes the Taylor series will have a radius of convergence where as if I took the original function I could just plug in the same number and get the right answer. Now i'm curious is my teacher retarded? Why does he insist they are the same? WTF? I need someone smarter than both of us to settle this.
