(Funny thing about the latter, is that we just accept the tracking apps in our phones as a transparent reality).
The short of it is that intelligence agencies have outright admitted to sponsoring the spread of fake conspiracies in order to hide the truth.
So is every retard on the internet pushing flat-earth a fed? Of course not. Is flat-earth popular today (in stark contrast to centuries of prior persistence) because some government agency bribed social media companies to modify their algorithm promoting it, and setting off a chain reaction of virality so that now it persists organically? Idk, maybe. Personally I find it more likely this all happened through a combination of accident and unconscious bigotry in the media (like you're doing now).
But to say that the CIA pushing it as a tactic is more unreasonable than flat-earth itself, is highly disingenuous. Based on that, it's become more likely YOU're a fed.
