Sweden was the only western country to forego a lockdown.
They were crucified by the world press for being irresponsible.
Look at their current cases compared to their neighbors who were model lock-down countries. Their statistics are looking very good now. Their herd immunity strategy seems to work.
Turning to Africa: Lockdowns were not a big hit in Africa. They basically ignored many of the rules or didn't have lockdowns. So the virus circulated freely through their respective populations.
Just some thoughts
